For The Love of Blue

This award-winning project reimagined an historic home by relocating the kitchen to better support the rhythms of a busy family. Our goal was to modernize the space while respecting its architectural heritage. We drew inspiration from the original home for the checkered flooring and custom milled crown molding to match the existing historic trim throughout the house.

The design features a storied buffet hutch repurposed from an original fireplace bump-out and a bespoke built-in bench for family dining. Finished in a rich, evocative blue, the kitchen successfully blends historic craftsmanship with modern utility.
